Tranquil Standpoint

about

The peaceful track for a moment of emotional reflection. Peaceful. I played this melody on a Tandy-12 Computerized Arcade box made by Radioshack I got at the thrift store. You know what those things are like? They are these big brick toys, with rows of colored buttons that light when you press them and play a loud tone. It was heavy cause it took D batteries. The thing had 12 modes. Different games that had to do with the way the buttons lit up and what you pressed. I only bought it for the organ feature and memory feature, where it would remember a string of like 12 notes you play and play them at the same weird steady rhythmic pace every time. This thing was probably out before casio keyboards, handheld electronic gaming, and all that. It's an old beast. I arranged and layered the memory recording from the "Computerized Arcade" into reversing loops that intersect and carry the melody.

Guitar, kazoo, beat box, whatever I had to do to accomplish the idea. Thanks for supporting my mad scientist orchestrations ... more
